ZipRecruiter Job Search | App Report, Store and Ranking Data

There are ALOT of fake job postings on here. Many of them are listed under different/fake companies than a completely different one contacts you, and when you ask about the application they can’t even give you accurate information about it. I’ve applied to a few different jobs and I keep getting text messages from different companies that I didn’t actually apply to. And when I ask about the position and the application it confuses them and they can’t answer any of the questions or confirm any of the information about “their” own applications. Not to mention, I’ve also been contacted and requested to give my credit information BEFORE even being offered an interview which is strange. Usually if a company requires a credit check, that would be requested at the same time of a background check, drug test, etc. which also usually comes AFTER initial interviews and along a job offer. It’s usually the last step not the first step. And yes, I am well aware that many of these are temp agencies or other staffing agencies, however when a company contacts you and they cannot even confirm any of the information regarding the post or the application they are hiring for that’s a red flag. Not to mention after looking up the initial company/application and the looking up the one that actually contacts you it tend to be very different positions and companies than what you applied for. For example, you apply for an administrative assistant position and get contacted for a marketing and sales position with completely different job functions from companies with pyramid scheme reputations. I only gave it two stars because there actually are a few good reputable companies and staffing agencies on here, but it can be hard trying to decipher between the legitimate postings and the fake ones because the fake ones just copy the real ones to attract similar applicants. Lastly, with the most recent update, the app has been quite glitchy when scrolling through applied jobs.

If you’re trying to find a job this is the worst possible app you could use. Endless scams and illegitimate businesses on here using it for god knows what likely data mining. You can tell there’s minimal regulation on who’s posting the job listings. I’ve applied to jobs at big name companies where it redirects you to the website to apply- and have ended up on scam sites! Since creating my account I’ve had at least 30 scam calls daily. This has never been an issue with any other job seeking app I’ve used, scam calls aren't a persistent issue I’ve had either. Overall, I would not recommend using ZipRecruiter it’s also incredibly annoying and will flood your inbox all day long with irrelevant opportunities to what you’re seeking. Thank you, next.

This app is useless. Nothing but scam listings. Every job listing I’ve contacted is fraudulent. Then once they have your contact information they flood your email and text with spam and junk asking to click links and download apps for your fake interview which is simply an attempt to gain access to your devices and personal information. Do not use this app unless you want to get your hopes up and waste your time cleaning out your inbox and messages of spam messages.

Got a new phone. And won’t let me sign in. Trying to reset the password with gmail app. I can verify my email, but it doesn’t verify from the app it is stuck on the check your mailbox section. Indeed is better anyway.

I can’t sign into my account. The system isn’t recognizing my email or password. There isn’t even help link to reset my password or any way to get hold of tech support. Completely useless app!!!

This app is full of fake companies I never had so many scammers calling me from this app
