I’d really love

100% guaranteed privacy between conversations, no ads/datatheft/theft potential, and a company motto that just keeps me wanting to say: And One App to Rule Them All… But a chance to COVID attend a funeral makes up for all my desires for someone to build, operate, and run a secured by FCC Tariffs and Regulations video phone system with conference calling, single monthly fee, operating under modified cellphone Linux (basically Apple and Alphabet phone systems, Windows and Mac OS, whatever they are calling it these days, and cheap smart-terminals priced at just more than a fancy home phone, running on the same fiber network - with some method of auto-tracking and blocking by request the inevitable auto-dialed sales spam, taped, chipped, voice or live, harassing calls (difficult if exhibitionists use burner-equivalents- add a big red button to auto-track, pinpoint and follow, which has its own potential for misuse) Until they do, this is the Absolute Best. Company is large enough, at this point to actually ask for FCC regulation and sell videophones to subscribers, which would open it up to competition, but how many folks still use the company that gobbled the RBOCS (It’s been that long since the AT&T breakup? Ok Regional Bell Operating Companies) and AT&T Long Lines, which destroyed AT&T and created Verizon. Until Ma Bell’s reborn, with live operators and 24/7 crack service teams, we’ll Choose Zoom! Seriously - regulation would be a great idea, and take care of a couple of number shortages, by building the network with all 16 Touch Tone buttons (1-0,*,#, and red, yellow, green and blue) yes - touch tone dialing is hexedecimal!
It’s a great app , but..

Zoom is a great tool I used to study with friends, video chat, etc. and used to absolutely love it. It works great with SMS and provides a great alternative to facetime for those that don’t have it. However, the app added ridiculous time limits to meetings and it has gotten to a point where I can no longer use the app productively. They originally only had a 45 minute time limit on group meetings, so once the 45 minutes were over, you’d have to create a new meeting and resend the link. They then continued to add that same limit to one on one meetings which got slightly irritating as it would cut out and I would have to create a new meeting over and over again. While I thought this got irritating at times, the app was still functional so I continued to use it regardless. Recently however, they came out with a new update where you must wait 10 minutes after your meeting ends to start a new one. While I understand that they may want people to purchase premium, it has gotten to a point where you cannot even use the free version of the app functionally. The limits have gotten unbearable and there are many other FREE video chatting apps that perform a similar function. As a college student on a tight budget I simply cannot afford to pay for the premium version of Zoom and am absolutely devastated to have to let go of this previously amazing study tool.
Watch out for Zoom to steal your information!

Zoom just stopped allowing us to text our clients
disfunctionalveteran on 2023-08-12
They started something new were apparently we had to sign up for some type of campaign to send text. We weren’t made aware of this and as of today we can no longer text our clients. Have been using them for over a year, and 90% of our communication with clients is through text. From quotes to scheduling it’s done with text, and now we can text. Said we have to sign up for campaign, which we have now done and are being told it will take at least 5 days before texting is available again. Needless to say we are looking for new option for our business phone lines.
A Headache
merrybee47 on 2023-08-12
When we did the FREE VERSION, it was GREAT, but our friend group wanted more time, so I collected from each party and the problems began! No fancy corporate shenanigans, just a few friends chatting in 3 states! But it seemed that every other week we had problems! Since I was heading this, I chose not to have a waiting room or the power to run the show! I would think, it would be the simplest thing: schedule,,invite the day before, Chat! Now, it is cutting us off & asking if I want to pay! I call. I am told I am paid up to 2024! Amen
Zoom can take your content and redistribute it how they want
Flexicorp on 2023-08-12
Just bringing up the terms of service. Don’t let this greedy company redistribute, publish, access, use, store, transmit, review, disclose, preserve, extract, modify, reproduce, share, use, display, copy, DISTRIBUTE, TRANSLATE, TRANSCRIBE, CREATE DERIVATIVE WORKS, and PROCESS YOUR CONTENT as a customer. What an deceitful thing to do since they no that a minuscule percentage of their users will ready their terms of service. Protect yourself and likeness!
Uummm……

Additionally, under section 10.4 of the updated terms, Zoom has secured a "perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license" to redistribute publish, access, use, store, transmit, review, disclose, preserve, extract, modify, reproduce, share, use, display; copy, distribute, translate, transcribe. create derivative works, and process Customer Content. Gonna need everyone to steer clear of this app….
Love Zoom, but not 40 minute limit
O'Codygirl on 2023-08-12
I talk with my two sisters once or twice a month and are always’shut down’ suddenly due to the 40 minute limit unless you purchase an unlimited meeting package. I hope Zoom might consider offering a more affordable family membership package that would allow for 1 weekly or 3-4 monthly unlimited meetings with family or friends… or maybe extend the limit to 90 minutes. This is a suggestion I hope you will seriously consider. Thank you!
Wonderful TV Serious

My wife and I are so very happy with The Chosen Series. We think it’s the most pleasant thing to watch on our TV or Phones, so we don’t miss an episode where there are no bad words or dialogue, I think I can relate to my mother having her friends over for brunch, because they also discussed church at times. Wonderful show and please take time to watch an episode, you will be pulled in by your heart. Just like mom and Sheriff John

Maharaj2020! on 2023-08-12
Hi, I was using zoom app on my iPad 4th generation with iOS 10.3.3 update till yesterday but today I cannot use zoom as when I try to join I am asked to first update zoom app and when I try to update zoom app I get message that my device is not compatible with the zoom app. Very frustrating experience with this update. Hopefully, I get to update zoom app on this device or else have to use another app or so.
